Mistinguett – Mon Homme

Posted by ldifranza on February 17, 2008

1931- Mis has an argument with a spectator watch how trough her great “métier” she succeeds in starting again her famous song, unique document. At her feet in the ring is Henri Garat jeune premier of the early talking & singing cinema and her lover for a while. Mis made only 1 talkie in 1936. She did not like the movies and one can see it viewing “Rigolboche” clips. Without an audience she is not herself.

Damia – Tout le Jour, Toute la Nuit

Posted by ldifranza on February 17, 2008

DAMIA, La tragédienne de la chanson – suggestion of Grzegorz 240252 and my great pleasure and satisfaction.

“Night and Day” by Cole Porter, a melody which seems to be so simple until the moment when one tries to… sing it.
